You can try the below reset option to help correct the issue with holding a proper charge.
Before the reset, please do take a small cloth (or cotton ball/swab), with a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol and clean the device components/cradle, treatment window, and sensor. Any amount of debris build-up or film on the device can prevent the sensor/charges from making proper contact to unlock and charge.
If the reset is not successful initially, please do try it a few times (steps 2 and 3) as customers have had luck with it on the 2nd and 3rd try.
Reset Instructions:
1. Plug your device in for 24 hours.
2. Take the cord from the device and plug it in and out (from wall) 5 times in row, without turning device on.
3. After the 5th time turn on your device, then put right back on charger for 2 hours. After charging for 2 hours you may use your device.
